Howard is an experienced pro guitarist who has been teaching for over 25 years. He has written songbooks for Oasis, Blur, Bon Jovi and Wet Wet Wet and is the author of the Ultimate Guitar series. He is te guitarist for 80s legend Owen Paul (My Favourite Waste of Time) playing at numerous festivals alongside artists such as Jason Donovan, Toyah and S Club...and live on Radio 2 as part of the Sara Cox Danceathon. He also played for Brother Beyond and shared a stage with Shalamar and John Entwhistle from The Who.
Many of his ex students are now pro players themselves, amongst them Mike Dawes who in 2017, 2018 and 2019 won the accolade of Best Acoustic Guitarist In The World (Music Radar/Total Guitar Magazine)...Rex Orange County who came 2nd in the BBC Sound of 2018 Awards and Joe Boon - the youngest guitarist to have performed on a main stage at Glastonbury, aged 13.
