I visited this shop 12.12.21. They discriminate and embarrass people with disabilities. The lady in the shop challenged me about wearing a mask. I explained I have a disability. And don’t wear one. Then she continued to embarrass me in front of a busy shop. Her attitude was so disgusting she then got 2 other customers involved to verbally attack me. I have never been treated so deplorably in my 60 years of life. The government web site states. ‘A person with a disability does not have to show proof and persons should play their part and act sensitively towards people who need support” It can also be up to a £10.000 fine for discrimination!!!! Think this shop may need to research the exemption rules for themselves before attacking vulnerable customers !!!!!!

I was glad to find it after moving here recently. First time I went in, the owner was very friendly. Went back the other day to buy fabrics, etc. The owner was not only rude but very abrupt and unnecessarily grumpy. I was quite taken aback by her attitude. I spent my £10, I would have spent more, then went to Hobbycraft to get the rest of what I needed because she couldn't be bothered to find me any more felt. In future I will be driving back to my old haberdashers 40 miles away, where I spend on average £80-100 a month on supplies. You've just lost yourself a customer and my friends too. As someone that has run a high street shop for years, this is not how to do it. You need some good competition and a customer care course.
