They are really approachable give their honest opinion about the survey, tips and pointers and tailor each survey to the property. They have a wealth of experience in all types of property, you can ask them anything and lean on their experience when considering what you maybe doing with the property in the future.
You can get your mortgage provider/lawyer to do one cheaper/free, but I always think that a house is the most expensive thing i'm ever going to buy so its worth paying someone who I trust to look at all aspects of the property and specifically things that I am concerned about, to give me peace of mind.
It wont mean much to you, but thats the reason why I always use Malcolm and Home Building Surveys because I trust them to do an accurate survey, tell me the good and the bad and what they guenuinly think of the property.
