Gordon was incredibly efficient, professional and very reasonable. We had a slight emergency and he came out within 48 hours and cleaned the woodburner perfectly. He promised that he would not leave until the fire was up and running, and was true to his word. We are very grateful and would recommend him to anyone who needs their fire / chimneys serviced. A gem.

I phoned a Brighton sweep but for some reason got this clown. Said he would come that night so I agreed. Turned up at eight and seemed to just have a hoover. Quoted me £90 which I thought was a bit steep but agreed. He then talked a load of random stuff and I thought he was a bit strange but let him get on with it. Looked to me like he was just hoovering the fireplaces and he was finished within the hour. Gave him £90 cash to which he demanded £180 as I had two flues. I honestly thought he was joking and when I realised he wasn’t told him that I was not going to give him £180. With that he bizarrely started humming very loudly, then singing loudly and left. He then sat in his car on the drive sounding the horn for what seemed like forever. This freaked the kids out so I went out and he drove off. No receipt, no certificate, just very worrying behaviour. A lesson learned, to be careful who you invite into your home. Not sure if I still need the chimney swept and next morning found soot all over the pavement outside. Invite this bloke into your home at your peril.
