Welcome to The Harbour Inn, Southwold
Right on the water’s edge, The Harbour Inn is a proper old Fisherman’s pub – warm, workmen-like and wonderfully buzzy, with nautical charm in abundance.
The Harbour Inn is part of a quirky and characterful community of businesses on Southwold Blackshore, still a working harbour with original fishing huts.
The bar serves an exciting range of well-kept Adnams beers and spirits, and wines too – just what you need after a blustery beach walk.
The daily menu showcases the freshest and finest local seafood including shrimps, sardines, monkfish, herring milts, with other pub classics. All tables are on a first-come first-served basis.
The cosy corners of the Harbour Inn lend themselves to small groups, whilst the light and airy fishing shed lends itself to larger parties with outstanding views over The River Blyth and Southwold marshes.
P.S Everyone’s welcome – dogs and children included.

Ian Fidler5 StarThe weather had cooled from sone of the hottest days in August. We needed a good lunch following a terrific walk in not too far away Dunwich Forest. It was bar service. Good range of food. I went for the basil pesto fungi linguine.... generous potion and tasty. Also nice was Coke Zero on tap. Would definitely recommend.Thursday 18th August 2022
Richard Twydell4 StarGreat pub at Southwold Harbour. Sat on the downstairs longe bar and had a very good lunch. Has outdoor space at the front and back with both having great views. A very dog friendly pub too!Wednesday 12th October 2022
Justine Biddles5 StarLovely harbour side and next to the common for a walk back into town. Dog friendly, real pub feeling and great outdoor space. Lovely Lovely tempura battered haloumi and crushed minted peasFriday 15th July 2022
Mavis Beresford5 StarOh my what a find, visited with my Sister and her Husband, fabulous day, cool but sunny and was able to sit outside and have a drink. Then went inside to have a meal. Fabulous quaint, rustic but delivers the goods. Beer good, food excellent, what more can you want. A few dog walkers and their dogs kept us amused. Will return.Monday 16th May 2022
Andrew Clarke3 StarThe road down to the pub is a bit to be desired being loose stone and pot holes. It's also not that disabled friendly as there are steps both up and down into the pub. Once inside though the staff are friendly and welcoming. The food and drink was good but I don't think I will return preferring the lord Nelson in townSaturday 28th May 2022
