This is a good size store for bikes. Really good to see the whole top floor is dedicated for bikes. Good choice. Enough space to cautiously give a test ride on the shop floor. Very friendly customer agents. Dale carried one of my bikes all the way to the car. It looks a little busier than the one in Whitstable and appears to be similarly staffed. So experienced a little longer wait at times to speak to a customer agent.

Frustrating that phone was never answered and website does not answer your questions but once at the store I found all staff incredibly helpful. My puncture was even repaired without the usual labour charge because of the wait time - even though I hadn't complained :) Thanks guys for a great service, I'll be back! Update: I did go back for a gear service and it was amazing, feels like a new bike! There are still communication problems, the website where you book doesn't link to store computer, but I'm still giving 5 stars as guys in-store work so hard to make up for it. Great service and very reasonable price.

Disappointing customer service. I purchased a pump a few months ago and using it for the second time, it failed. I didn’t have the receipt but because it was obvious it was brand new I would have expected them to replace it. It has Halfords branding over it, was shiny still but after speaking with the manager he said they cannot replace the item. The reason, ‘I may have stolen the item from another store’. I would understand if I was asking for a refund but replacing the item, I don’t understand at all. For £12.99 you would expect a little common sense and a reasonable resolution. I have used the store for a number of years but they have now lost my custom. I think a lesson in customer service may be required by the manager. I would also avoid in case you have any issues with any product. Maybe I’m too used to the great customer service of large online distributors and this is where my money will go in future. The only reason I used Halfords previously is to support a local physical shop that allows you to walk in.
