Air Bubble4 StarWent in, spoke to Scott (?) who genuinely seemed to understand mountain bikes which was refreshing as in the past, I've dealt with people who didnt have a clue. Well played Halfords. Nice one Scott.
Got the exact bike I wanted, no fuss, ordered and paid for. Was told I would get a call to let me know when it was delivered to store to pick up.
Sadly this is where Halfords let themselves down a bit as the next call I had was 2 weeks later, asking if I still wanted the bike, or did I want a refund.
Apparently it had been sitting in the back of the store for 9 days..... No phone call. No email. No crystal ball.
Not great customer service guys, you need to work on that. Dropped the ball a bit there. Let's imagine I was a bit "Karen" and decided to cancel my order simply because you hadn't let me know it was there?
Bike is everything I thought it would be, the new version of one I bought in 2004 and killed over 16 years of doing what it said on the tin.
Trash Halfords if you want, because that's trendy isnt it, but with a decent member of the team who knows his stuff, and a quietly triumphant new improved range of mountain bikes for a not too shabby budget, as reviewed by your top interest publications, you can't go far wrong for buying your MTB here.

Steve Fessey5 StarJust popped in to get a rear brake light bulb replaced at Halfords in Stamford. The three members of staff I spoke to were all friendly, engaging and helpful. The bulb wasn’t easy to access, but Adam knew what he was doing and quickly sorted it, in considerably less time than it would have taken me!
Great service, carried out quickly and at a very reasonable price, so would highly recommend.Tuesday 28th December 2021
