(From Jo Phillips) Today I had my haircut by Lu, my first visit to a salon since some very dodgy home haircuts during the pandemic! She was lovely and I am so pleased with the cut. She gave me lots of good advice and I would definitely recommend Fordes. A very friendly place.

Thank you for the reply to my husbands review. I have to agree with him the cut was not good. I feel your reply was extremely rude, but I’m sure you agree with that as you have now edited it, but not before we screenshot it. I feel it was the best thing to do with not saying anything on the day, as I think it’s you that has passive aggressive tendencies, As for cranial warts etc this is a medical issue, and your remarks are nothing more than bullying. Which is so unprofessional, as with the remark to his size (which you have edited out) Also my husband had his haircut on Wednesday not Friday as you stated so would that be another customer you have upset! If you want to keep 5* ratings perhaps you should have pride in your work. Next time he’s in your area he will pop in to have the chat you requested.

Worst haircut ever. Walked in without an appointment but the “barber” said he had an appointment soon but would do mine straightaway. I asked if he could do a skin fade and he said yes he could! He just didn’t mention he had no intention of doing that. All he was interested in was the next appointment so I ended up with a botched grade 2 or 3 all over! I know I should have kicked off at the time but I didn’t want to argue as there were ladies in the other half of the shop. Now I have to go to a “proper” barber to get a decent haircut! It was only £10.00 but if he’d said I can only spare 2 minutes to give you a bodge job I would have gone elsewhere!
