The staff were super friendly and helpful. All day breakfast was very nice. I liked the menu. It wasn't my husband's type of food, hence the choice of breakfast. All reasonably priced.

After a walk around the lake we had lunch at the cafe and sat at a table on the balcony overlooking the water. I had the full English and tea. Top marks for the staff and the food.

Been here many times from the 1980s before the restaurant was built at the waters edge. Not busy today, but can be busy weekends and holidays. Good choice of food and drinks in the restaurant, or you can just get drinks and icecream etc. Nice balcony seating and tables overlooking water. Good walk round the reservoir, lots to see, a bird hide, a sensory garden ( small one ) people fishing on the water, people windsurfing, paddle boarding. Butterflies, moths, dragonflies, rabbits, geese, ducks ,swans. It's approximately 8km walk. Took me 2hours, but at a normal pace. No need to rush folk. Go enjoy ... forgot to take photos . Ps, it's a mostly good tarmac walk . Benches nearer grassed water edge....NO DOGS ALLOWED... lovely play ground for the kids there .£5 parking all day....
