Normally 14-20mm total thickness with varying thickness of wear-layer of 3-6mm. There are different types of installation depending on the sub-floor & required feel of the floor when complete. Good quality Engineered oak is a must. A cheap oak floor can present all sorts of problems in the future. All our Engineered floors are excellent quality with good length boards & choices of finish. Perfect Fit really have proved to be the perfect company to work with. I have had two houses recarpeted through them and both times the quality of the work has been excellent. Chris is also great at communicating, turns up when he says he will and gets the job done with the minimum of fuss. Given the way some trades operate, this is both unusual and, indeed, makes the stress of dealing with some of these things much less than might be the case. Would absolutely recommend the company to anyone!
