Darren Lord ADI - AA Driving School (Automatic/Electric)

I'm delighted to announce I will be one of the first AA Driving School instructors in the UK to switch to an all electric vehicle in March. I will be using a brand new Peugeot e2008, and it should have minimal impact on what my pupils are used to with many features being exactly the same. Lesso... I am experiencing a high volume of calls from learners hoping we can help them with a test at short notice.As an instructor, we are always wary of wanting to accept pupils we've not taught. Our badge number & registration are recorded on your test, and your faults are logged as our faults.If ... Intimidation of a learner driver is a motoring offence. I use front and rear cameras in my car, and wholeheartedly support the Essex Police 'Extra Eyes' scheme. Please 'think' next time you come across a learner. Give them space & time, and most of all... remember you were learning once!

I can’t explain how much Darren has help me over the course of 3-4 months that I was driving with him. He was my 2nd instructor after another one had knocked my confidence, but he was extremely patient with me and taught me in ways I would be able to understand. He made me feel comfortable whilst driving by chatting with me and we both had a-lot of laughs :) He also gave me tips on how to do certain things and they helped a bunch when it came to my driving test. Today I passed first time with only 3 minors, and I can only thank him for helping get there. I would highly recommend Darren as your instructor!

I honestly cannot thank Darren enough for helping me pass my test. Darren was patient with me, knowledgeable with his teaching & taught things till I fully understood them. Darren has been a fantastic driving instructor. His knowledge and experience was evident from day one. He is great at explaining the traffic rules and helpful with any issues or queries I had behind schedule. I was able to pass my driving test first time with 3 minors. He used to pick up where I need to improve on and go through that as many times as required until I got it right. I appreciate his intent to gear up his students not only for the first time pass but also to meet the standards and the quality required to become a driver on the UK roads. I’d thank Darren for being flexible to accommodate many changes on the scheduled sessions and the test with a micro short notice. I am very pleased with the experience that I have had and would definitely recommend Darren!!

I can’t express enough how much I would recommend Darren as a driving instructor. After having my confidence knocked with other driving instructors, I never thought I’d be capable of learning to drive again. After just one lesson with Darren I knew I had made the right decision to keep learning to drive, and I knew with is amazing knowledge of driving I would be able to pass my test. Darren was so patient with me and made me feel comfortable when driving. Anything I was unsure of or didn’t understand he would take the time to explain it no matter how many times we had to go over it. Thanks to him I have now passed my test which I thought would never happen. Thank you so much Darren !

The best instructor I have met. I had 2 in the past. Darren made me comfortable and felt like a driver within few months. Helped me built so much confidence and believe in myself. He has faith, take time with his pupils and most importantly very patient. I definitely highly recommend him.
