I couldn't recommend more this Inn to stay and to eat! Me and my friend stayed one night and the room was very cozy and nice, and despite being upstairs of the pub it was very quiet. The staff were incredibly friendly and nice, recommended us places nearby to go! Also they served us an amazing English Breakfast plus they also offered cereals, toasts, oats, drinks etc for breakfast. We'll definitely come back, very nice experience.

Excellent real ale. And the in-house Indian restaurant is also 5 stars and delicious. Can't go wrong! Oh and there's two darts boards and a poll table. Winning!

This place is amazing!!! Set right by the small village green, is a perfect location. There's a duck House, small river, and multiple houses with thatched roofs nearby. In terms of the pub, I stayed there. The rooms were relatively small, and could have done with a few more electrical sockets. Having said that though, the bed was really comfy, and the room was clean. Good quality bath sheets too. With regards to the pub itself, the breakfast is really tasty, and there's lots of it. From full English, to cereals, fruit juices etc. The quality of food was top notch too. In an evening, the restaurant serves Indian cuisine, and its soooo good!!! During the day, the do more traditional pub grub. The pub hosts, staff and locals are all extremely friendly. I really have nothing but praise for this place. I would not hesitate in recommending this place, as it really is the ideal, all-round experience.

Popped in on spec for a pint and food. Had to swap the pint of 'Butcombe' which was very cloudy and didn't taste right. The 'proper job' was excellent. We were provided menus for Indian cuisine which I believe is the only food they do. Appears to be an asian chap running the kitchen and pub. I ordered the chefs recommended lamb curry which I found hard to cut and chew. The accompanying sauce was equally 'unappetising' but thats the risk you take when you venture to new pastures. Its not the first time I've been disappointed with my curry in these rural parts. When asked by the 'owner' if my food was OK I gave an honest feedback saying that I found the lamb to be tough. The owner offered to provide something else which I declined. He took the lamb I hadn't eaten to the 'chef' to question why it was tough. On checkout the owner deducted £2 from my bill....Won't be popping in again any time soon.....
