Back Pain

This has become one of the most common reasons for people to take time off work. Research has shown that most of us will experience back pain and its complications in our lives. For some of us this will go on to become a chronic debilitating condition.

Chiropractic has been shown to be effective for low back pain in a number of clinical trials over the years and is now included in the NICE guidelines for your GP to follow when recommending care options to you.

Neck Pain

It is very common for adults to experience neck and shoulder pain at some point in their life. Neck pain and its related problems can become incapacitating for sufferers.

Injury and postural problems are the most common causes of neck pain. Other causes include trauma, stress, and falling asleep in an awkward position.

Chiropractic care has been shown to be extremely effective in treating neck pain. Treatment is tailored to the individual and always includes exercises and advice on ergonomics because our priority is getting you out of pain and keeping you out of pain.

Headaches

Chiropractic has been shown to be a very effective treatment for a number of different types of headache. Many headaches originate from the structures of the neck, which are referred to as cervicogenic headaches.

With the correct treatment, chiropractic care reduces the frequency and intensity of headaches. Chiropractors have to undergo 5 years full time training to doctorate level. Therefore you can be reassured that our chiropractors are equipped with the examination skills to diagnose your complaint effectively and identify if your headaches is suitable for chiropractic care. If complaints like headaches are not found to be appropriate for chiropractic care patients are referred to the correct specialist.

Shoulder Pain

Shoulder problems can be very challenging and for good reason. Just when progress is made the patient, through no fault of their own, does something to set themselves back. This is because we are constantly using our shoulders.

Ligaments, tendons and muscles within the shoulder all work together to create the movement and strength required for proper function, making diagnosis of the troubled area more difficult. The good news is that we have seen thousands of patients with shoulder pain and over time most have responded positively.

Pins and Needles

Pins and needles in the hands or feet are not uncommon and there are many causes. The cause is usually a trapped nerve in the spine causing referred symptoms like pins and needles in the hands or feet. While the condition often comes and goes, for some it can be persistent accompanied by other symptoms such as back pain, neck pain, headaches, dizziness and loss of balance.

This can be very worrying for anyone experiencing this problem and diagnosis can be difficult with the patient hearing differing answers from different practitioners. But one thing that is certain is something is causing the symptoms and that cause needs to be found.

Sports Injury

Sports injuries are frustrating because they can stop you from doing the things you really enjoy. People feel that they lose that competitive edge through no fault of their own. We have had a number of patients tell us how their golf handicap has improved since being under chiropractic care.

The most frustrating thing about sports injuries is that they often re-occur. This is usually due to the fact that the cause of the problem has not been found and corrected.

Arthritis

Arthritis is a common condition that causes pain of the joints and bones. The main symptoms of arthritis include pain, stiffness, and restricted movements of the joints.

Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis. The most frequently affected joints are in the hands, spine, knees, and hips.

I have met everyone there and they are such lovely people. Very helpful and are very good at managing to find appointments for me around my crazy shift pattern as I’m a student vet nurse. They are awesome at giving me tips and guidance on exercises and lifestyle. The receptionist are so welcoming and are lovely to talk you. Everyone makes me feel very welcome and at ease. I would recommend highly visiting and getting treatment from them all.

I’ve been going for a few months now and I’ve never felt better. The pain has gone and I’m so much more happier especially that I can keep up with my 3 year old which I didn’t think was going to happen. Luke is amazing and due to him my progress has been so quick along with Adam both the best I’ve seen and I’ve been to other local places. If I could I’d give them more then 5

Before I started going to Care for Health on a regular basis I suffered from serious episodes of back pain which were debilitating, painful and disruptive to my daily life. Now, as a member of their wellness programme, I enjoy pain free mobility enabling me to take pleasure in activities such as golf and tennis as well as being able to cope with jobs around the house such as gardening with ease. The whole team are always friendly and welcoming and I know I am in safe hands. I couldn’t do without them and I always recommend their services to any friends and family who are having any pain issues. Thank you Care for Health for looking after me and keeping me in good health!!!

You couldn’t wish for a friendlier, more professional team than everyone at Care for Health. I have been going for treatment along with my daughter Rose (15) to see Mark for a few years now, and the long term benefits are so worth it. We travel half an hour each time, we wouldn’t go anywhere else!
