Went to Whisby Nature Reserve for the snowdrop planting in honour and memory of a lost loved one. Lovely stroll round the nature reserve and to dads bench in his memory after losing him to cancer. Stopped in at the Broadwalk Bistro for a coffee and a slice of cake for the kids. Great choice of beverages, cakes and other food and snacks that are reasonably priced. Very clean and tidy. Service was great and luckily not too busy. Even though it was slightly chilly sat outside to enjoy the view from the terrace. Overall a great day, especially the coffee and cake which the kids enjoyed after a chilly walk.

We were staying in the area and this was recommended to us. The food was very nice and the portions were generous. The chocolate milkshake was to die for. Sat outside with view of lake but this area is popular as it is dog friendly.

Lovely café in a fab nature reserve with an amazing selection of vegan food and drinks - I wish I’d taken a photo of the extensive menu chalked up on the blackboard! We had the vegan burgers with sweet potato fries and salad, which were imaginative, thoughtfully prepared and freshly cooked. Staff were lovely and the café itself is clean and spacious, with seating inside and out on the veranda. We always stop here if we can to break the journey from Yorkshire to London and it’s so worth it!

We've been going there for years. It's changed a little, so perhaps under new management. The food is good, sometimes though the plates are too hot and I truly feel for the people bringing it to the table, they should be given gloves. They have lots of food available for all ages and eating requirements e.gm gluten free, vegan etc. It's a lovely place to take children however, they've stopped proving the water in jugs or bottles. I wasn't impressed with the young lady serving touching the rim of each glass that she gave us and reluctantly filled with water. Hygiene standards slipped! They've also decided to stop the sachets of condiments, I'm assuming for waste and possibly environmental reasons. Opting instead for tiny glass jars! At 60p each!! A step too far. Buy a big tub and small paper holders, have it behind the counter and charge if you must. Your not an upper class establishment like Doddington Hall and even they don't do that! Its a canteen environment and anyone who suffers with their hearing will struggle. Its high ceilings, hard floor and metal legged chairs. Very echoey. We went on a weekend this time and the ladies serving are certainly not as happy or as friendly as the staff in the week. They were polite enough but I got the impression they didn't want to be there.

Use this cafe on a regular basis as part of a cycling group. Food is always to a high standard and served quickly. Lots of seating inside and out and with a takeaway window for those wanting to sit outside. Great views across the lake and waymarked walks.
