Welcome to Surbiton Day Nursery and Preschool. Our bright and welcoming nursery is set in a beautiful, converted house where our qualified and nurturing staff are dedicated to providing children aged 3 months to 5 years with the best early education and care.

Resources and Rooms for Every Age

Your baby will love their time in our baby room. Full of safe, sensory resources to aid development, this cosy space helps babies relax, learn and reach key milestones. Practitioners follow your baby's routine from home as closely as possible. There is also a separate sleep room so your little one can nap peacefully.

Our spacious toddler room is ideal for inquisitive toddlers to explore and develop their independence. A wealth of fun, creative activities mean that there will always be something new to discover.

In Rising 3s, children are encouraged to follow their interests, and our activities are based around this. Our Growing Enhancements are introduced in this room. This unique programme introduces your child to essential key skills in subjects such as maths, reading, writing, science, art, IT, sports, and more.

Your little learner will love our bright and colourful preschool room, where they will start preparing for their transition to school. To ensure your little one is ready for this new adventure, preschoolers take part in our Ready for School programme, which brings structure and focus to maths, reading, writing and other essential skills they need to get ready for school.

A Bright Beginning for Every Child

Designed by our Early Years specialists, your little one will get the best start to their schooling life through our enriching and wellbeing-focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum

Building on the foundations of the government's EYFS curriculum, it combines a wide range of activities to nurture and develop the skills your child needs to flourish and reach their full potential. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child's wellbeing, development, and progress – whether that's moving rooms or preparing them for school.

Children also enjoy Boogie Mites music sessions where they can learn about the world through music and song.

You can stay updated with your child's day through our Bright Horizons Family app.

Discoveries in the Garden

Learning and fun are taken outdoors in our large and exciting garden areas. With age-specific areas, your child will have access to the best resources and activities for their development.

From our adventure garden complete with hobbit house, stage area, nature garden, planting beds, outdoor library and art room, to our peaceful and stimulating baby and toddler garden, there is so much for your little one to explore.

We moved our son to this nursery after a bad experience with another local setting. The change in him is incredible since he has been going here. The staff are fantastic, facilities great, communication excellent and our son is so happy now. He runs in happily, comes out beaming and tells us all about his day, unlike his previous nursery where he wouldn't tell us anything about what he did. Highly recommend to all parents.

My little one is here for about a year already. We are really pleased. He loves going there, just runs there in the morning. Ladies who look after him are super lovely. Other pros - safe enclosed large garden with the playground; good food; development program; convenient hours (7-00 - 18-30). Overall a good place. Probably not the cheapest one, but nurseries are not cheap anyway, and here for some extra money we're completely happy (touch wood)))

Lovely staff, nice location and building with large garden. Excellent opening hours. However it is extremely poor value for money. They ask 30-40% premium compared to nearby nurseries which have better ofsted reports. Nor do they provide workplace nursery benefit which could benefit the parents a lot. Bright Horizon, the new owner of the nursery is an American company owning more than 700 nurseries worldwide and you can tell; it has become a lot more corporate and money focused.
