A lot of carers not performing their duties properly. When my Gran stayed here, whilst visiting, most of them were messing around with their phones and there was a lack of one on one interaction with the residents. Fair enough, it can be challenging to spend a lot of time with each resident, but that does not excuse the lack of contact that I witnessed. The home as a whole is clean enough, provides lovely activities for the residents and includes the option to bring pets to visit family members. With the dementia unit being on the 1st floor and the lift and stairs having security measures in place, I felt relaxed knowing my Gran could not go wandering too far. All in all, I must say a thank you to the carers on the dementia unit for looking after my Gran during her stay.
