Lovely place to go for a drink, outstanding visuals inside and very rustic. Good to see the old machinery in situ as a display. Great seating areas inside and out and decent food.

Totally dead on a Saturday evening, last orders called at 10.30am. Still waited ages to be acknowledged at the bar to be served. Staff too busy replenishing fridges so they could close. Could be better with something going on, music etc... lacking atmosphere.

We enjoyed an outstanding lunch today with Tracey Pierce providing excellent, attentive service sorting out our preferences for our choices with the chef. It was so nice to deal with a waitress with a helpful and cheerful manner, outstanding and many thanks Tracey.

Called into the beer hall on a mid week lunchtime, the staff are smartly dressed and very attentive, they stock a wide range of beers and drinks, we ordered food with the table waitress, the menu is limited and still on the winter menu, sandwiches are not available, both me and my partner decided to go for the steak ple served with chips and mushy peas. The food was brought within a reasonable time, All good appart from the quality, the steak pie is reasonably priced and acceptable, not exceptional, the peas were tasteless, a drowning with vinegar and salt didn't help much, as for the chips they appeared and tasted like they had been under a heat lamp for an hour, A much better option would be the chip shop just across the road, or the other eateries in the town, it's certainly not somewhere that I'll visit for food again, it's my second visit and wasn't any better last time but i thought I'd give it a second chance, but unfortunately hasn't improved.
