At Black Forge Art we design and manufacture bespoke signs, weathervanes, traditional iron forgework and contemporary metal artwork. Our website only shows a small selection of previous commissions, however, if you do not see exactly what you are looking for, then please do not hesitate to contact us. We specialise in one-off, metal artwork commissions including house, farm and village signs and high quality weathervanes. Our Signs & Weathervanes are made to the highest possible standard of manufacture and attention to detail. All Our Designs can also be incorporated into our traditional hot forged ironwork such as gates, railings and garden structures. Our work is individually designed and handmade in our own forge to your specific requirements. We take pride in the quality of our work and all one-off commissions are discretely signed by our creative, acclaimed artist Rod Fender, who has been responsible for thousands of signs, weathervanes and metal artwork commissions both nationally and internationally over the last twenty five years.

We have recently installed a Black Forge village sign and are really pleased with the result. Rod was a delight to work with coming up with the design; he was patient when it came to requests for changes and in the end produced a wonderful piece of artwork. Carol in the office was always helpful but particularly so in coordinating the purchase of a suitable oak post late in the day when our original supplier let us down. She even personally delivered both post and sign to us. This company definitely deserves 5 stars!

We think our new sign provided by Black Forge is excellent and it takes a real skill to produce artwork and sign of this high caliber. It was a pleasure and great fun discussing the design of the sign with the Black Forge team and they exceeded our expectations when it was delivered. We are very pleased with the sign and think it sets off our entrance very well. At least visitors will now know we are as our previous sign was so small, and visitors and couriers used to drive passed us without realising where we were. We would recommend Black Forge to our friends and neighbours if asked and would use them again. 5 stars can't get better than that!
