Hello I'm David and I run Bigphatphotos, a professional award-winning photography business specialising in providing timeless images of weddings, engagements and family life. I work closely with my clients to ensure I provide exactly what they are looking for.

I am a relaxed fella who enjoys working with people and share a passion for being happy, stepping outside the box and taking my clients along for the ride. It’s an absolute joy to be asked to photograph your wedding.  My style is natural and unobtrusive and with my help, I'll aim to make you both feel comfortable in front of the camera, so much so you don’t even realise I am there capturing the images.

I like to think I am quite in tune with my couples and together we capture those perfect moments of your big day. My passion is to create a collection of priceless memories, which will stay with you forever.
By the time your wedding day arrives, we will be friends; we will have had coffee and chatted over your plans. We will have had fun working together on a complimentary pre-wedding ‘In Love’ shoot, which will have given an idea of how we can all work together. For me, I feel incredibly privileged to be a part of your special day as I am passionate about capturing, not only great images but also the feelings and emotions you experience as the story unfolds.

My fees are an indication of the amount of time I put into producing priceless memories for you. I am always prepared to offer a bespoke package to suit your budget. 

To give you an idea of my fees I offer three packages from £1,150 to £1,950. That's from a couple of hours to a full 12-hour day covering everything from the hairdressers to the first dance. We got married on April 20th 2019 and we are still buzzing from the amazing photos that we got from our special day. They were perfect, they work really well together and blended in perfectly to our day. I had seen them at the EDP wedding fair at Dunston hall and they outshone all of the other photographers that we had met. It was late in the afternoon on a very hot day and David was still buzzing with energy and was really friendly. He gave us a card with a unique photo on which was colourful and their details on the back (which I still have). I then booked to meet them with my now husband and they showed us their work. We had met a few other photographers and we both got in the car afterwards to debrief and we both said - they are the ones. So we booked and paid our deposit. The engagement photoshoot was well worth doing. We live away from Norfolk and it was difficult to arrange a weekend to come up with all the wedmin and work commitments. When we finally arranged to come up, my husband and I became unwell - Janie and David were very understanding and we rescheduled a few weeks later. The shoot really helped us to understand what to expect on the day and my Husband got the most out of it and was much more relaxed about photographs afterwards. Main points: Their website is really clear on what you get and user friendly. Communication is fantastic, especially by text. Engagement photoshoot was a valued addition to the wedding package. Their teamwork is fantastic, they work really well together as a husband and wife team. Sunset photos on our wedding day are perfect. The unique photos with fun poses are hilarious (see my personal favourite below) and will be a valued addition to our wedding album. Was worth every penny we spent. My Husband and I enlisted the help of David and Janie with our wedding this year and I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to do our photography. They fitted in with all our guests and have been mentioned a number of times as ‘that lovely couple with the cameras’. Their ability to mix in with the crowd has given me a fabulous mix of official shots with candid photos of our guests. I can not recommend them highly enough. If they have your date avaliable, book it, don’t delay! Don’t miss out!

Janie and David made our wedding day the best ever. The pre shoot and photos on the day were incredible. I have to say Janie looked after me and did far more than take photos even helping me in to my dress. You will never meet a nicer couple. Jane and David from Bigphatphotos put you at ease from the first moment of meeting, so much so you are barely aware of them photographing you. They both really care about taking the best shots and giving the best advice and service. Nothing is too much trouble to get that special photograph on the day. They work brilliantly as a team and compliment each other perfectly. They manage to be caring, fun yet professional at the same time to produce wonderful photographs. I really can't recommend them enough.

I absolutely hate having my photograph taken but I needed a photograph for my business website. Jane and David put me at ease straight away and helped me pick a suitable outfit as they had advised me to bring a few changes. I soon relaxed and after a few outfit changes they soon got some excellent photographs of me which are now on my website. I can't thank them enough, that was the first time I have ever enjoyed having my photograph taken. I can't recommend them enough. Thanks again. Team work at its best!
