Coronavirus: Business Support

As you are all aware the ground is constantly moving in respect to Covid-19 and the implications this will have for your business and the wider town centre and community. We wish to reassure our members that BID Leamington is here to support you. Helping to assess and respond to change is our primary concern and we welcome your feedback and support. This is also the focus of the BID Board of Directors. Please ensure we have your email as we are regularly updating members with information about grants, financial, HR, legal, and other forms of practical support. We are also in contact with our MP and other local partners to ensure the right kind of additional support is made available and in the longer term, we are working with partners to deliver a recovery plan.

Key questions for us are:

1. How this is impacting you, your business, staff and /or sector? e.g. trade, footfall, morale
2. What are the specific challenges you are facing?
3. What support do you need?

As a member of the BID Foundation Leadership Board, we have regular contact with executives from the UK Government High Street Task Force and the Institute of Place Management who are both in regular contact with treasury and other government departments. We are actively lobbying on issues important to you and supporting the lobbying efforts of other organisations. Together, this informs important decisions about programmes of support.

BID Invoicing: Whilst there is a legal imperative to issue BID levy invoices to maintain the mandate of the BID, we wish to acknowledge the varying circumstances facing businesses and have a strong desire to avoid adding further strain at this time. Reflecting this, the BID Board of Directors and Warwick District Council have agreed to some flexibility with respect to how the BID levy is collected this year.
