An experience ruined by a chef that is either a liar or thinks beef should taste sour. Fantastic service from start to finish but I was served an off burger. According to the chef there was nothing wrong with it. There was. Our starters, sharing plate and deserts were fantastic as was my partners main. The front of house staff couldn’t have been more professional dealing with the small issue but the actions of the chef literally left a sour taste in my mouth.

Really expensive for very mediocre food. Roasted pepper and tomato soup tasted like Campbell’s soup out of a tin, the sticky toffee pudding was not home made and tasted stale and the main was very average for the price. Between two of us with only one non alcoholic drink it came to £85. When we told the waitress we weren’t happy she shrugged it off. Won’t be recommending or going back I’m afraid, which is a shame because the building is beautiful and the restaurant is lovely in terms of how it looks.

Beautiful setting, very elegant. Sadly as my partner and I came in to escape the cold and enjoy a relaxed glass of red, we stood at the very quiet bar for over 15mins without even an acknowledgement. The bar tender, a tall bearded man, was obviously very busy doing another order for a hotel guest, however whilst doing so, didn't acknowledge us waiting or even welcomed us as we walked in - not even eye contact or a smile. We waited a little longer, he left the bar (!!!!!!!!) still no acknowledgement. After the full 15mins wait and being totally ignored in a very quiet and dead bar, we decided to leave and go enjoy our evening elsewhere. Hugely dissapointing for what is suppose to be a good establishment. Should train your staff in manners and customer service if you are working in the hospitality industry.

Only stopped for a drink, but loved the layout and bar area. We took our drinks out to a wonderful big garden. Noticed it is dog friendly in the bar. Great staff.

We couldn't ask for better, we visited the restaurant a month ago while in the area, the service and the food were absolutely outstanding for a good price, if compared to the usual visits to our local restaurants in London, we will be back for the tasting menu and for other occasions ! Thank you :)
