I needed some bodywork on my car repaired through insurance quickly for a trip up north. Ian and the team were incredibly helpful in speeding up the process, getting the parts, and repairing the damage. All the work was arranged and carried out on time and to a great standard. They went above and beyond to ensure I got the car back in time, I can't thank them enough for their help. Highly recommended!

We were directed to Barnes Coachworks through our insurance after someone crashed into my car! What an absolute nightmare this company has been! Bearing in mind the round trip is about 50 miles, my car was returned to me with only half a job done with no contact from Barnes to explain why they were returning without completing the work! Anyway… spoke to the insurance company - who arranged for the car to go back for it to be completed - got the car back a 2nd time and they said the scratch from the front panel to the rear had been polished out! Well it hasn’t! The repair is still not complete! Poor service, poor communication and 150 miles added to my mileage when it should have been there once and had the job done correctly!

Called in to ask if anyone could help to unlock my car, for some reason I left the keys in ignition and the doors locked. Ian kindly used an airbag to ease the door open a bit and used some hooked rods to open it. So grateful to him such a kind gent, wouldn't take anything for helping me.

Ian Barnes was recommended by a friend of mine who works at Mercedes Main dealer. Ian answered all my questions and made me feel like i could trust him and his operation. I decided to have the whole car (2007 Mercedes AMG) resprayed. I was very happy with the results and the quality of the finish and the reconstruction of the car and trim. I found one small imperfections after going over the whole car with a fine tooth comb, which Ian rectified the following week free of charge. I have been back twice since for smaller repairs and once for a wheel refurbishment, and been completely satisfied with the results. A Highly recommended company. Chester

Car went in for repair via insurance company, Small crack in bumper, slight bend in bonnet new wing needed and headlight. Came back old second hand headlight full of scratches and debris inside. Bumper misaligned and crack still visible. Bonnet had not bee painted fully and down to bare metal you could see where they had used grips to fix it. Over spray in the wheel arches and on the windscreen. It went back in 2 more times before it was fixed as it should be. the final repair was great but I cannot understand why they couldn't get it right first time. I Have knocked a star of for each time they had it.
