Very underwhelming! Tired decor, dirty marked furniture, self service breakfast and no sign of the host once we were booked in! Stayed 2 nights, room was not made up or welcome tray replenished. Will not be staying again when there is such a choice of warm, welcoming accommodation.

It was close to the Tor and the Chalice Well gardens. The accommodation was clean but poor, the lock on the door was a nightmare, it wobbled and twisted about and took an age to open. The shower was freezing then too hot, the toilet flush was barely a flush. There was no daily spruce of the room and as for the breakfast there was nothing hot to eat, not even a tin of beans to warm up on the microwave for beans on toast. The while place was archaic and in need of some kind of modernisation. There was noise all evening comping up and down the wooden no carpeted stairs which woke me and kept me awake. There was a nice view from the bedroom window and a nice patio to sit out in.

Currently being refurbished but nevertheless comfortable. Self service breakfast with White Well water available. Good location. Good welcome. Good views.

Very average room, can get better. Breakfast is clearly an inconvenience and is motel grade service. ( ie no one in attendance).
