Ashtead Balti has been in the town of Ashtead since 1989 doing what we do best,

preparing Balti dishes from all over India, spicy fish dishes from Bangladesh, and traditional Indian cuisine.

Our fully trained chefs and waiting staff are on  hand to make your visit special every time.

We will even help you with your choice of meal if you require, or if you have any recommendations our staff will be happy to assist.

Had a meal in the Ashtead Balti House last night. The meal arrived with some things we had not ordered and forgot items we had ordered. The waiter all but threw the food at us, dumping the plates unceremoniously in front of us. Some of the food was cold and to be honest quite bland. One waiter shouted across us at another waiter on the other side of the restaurant. A very unpleasant experience. If I was you I would give this place a wide berth.

We went for lunch during the week. We got a table for three but the place was quite cold, specially for my 7 years old daughter. They told us that the heating was not on, only that. We obviously left. One of the poorest customer service I have experience in a restaurant.

The most appalling restaurant welcome I have ever recieved..! Booked a 7pm table for a reunion with some old work colleagues. We often frequented this restaurant pre covid and have had many happy evenings there, however, the negative greeting nearly made us walk out..! VERY RUDE GREETING AND DRINK ORDER... Followed by a chewy chicken dish, tasteless breads after the plates being literally thrown at the tables. We knew the original owner and his son, who still runs the restaurant.... A lovely man... Sadly let down by a very rude waiter and an average chef...Such a shame.

I made a order to be delivered for my family tonight. Upon receiving the order 1 main was wrong. I had ordered a veg biriyani and got the curry part but the rice was full of meat. I called up and explained, they said another one was on its way but they want the meat one back. I thought this was worrying so said ok but I will add fairy liquid. 3 minutes later I get call from a very angry young man raising his voice and very angry that I would put fairy liquid in food they wanted back. He kept on shouting why. He had called me to be abusive which was very upsetting. This is a restaurant that myself and my family have regularly used for pick ups and in the restaurant for lots of occasions. I am disgusted at how I have been treated and will never use them or recommend again. Bad customer service. The only good thing about my experience is how lovely Chad the delivery driver was.

Very enjoyable evening. Staff friendly and professional and the food good. Very busy so only just got a table which is obviously a good start. Will defo go again.
