Our shop space is transformed regularly into our very own pop-up restaurant, The Culinary Studio @ Apron Strings, where we provide customers the opportunity to taste something different and enjoy a spectacular six to seven-course meal in a local and unique setting.
The menu is always chosen by our chef, combining traditional cuisine with cutting edge techniques to create innovative fusion food. We use seasonal and local produce at the heart of our design and development, ensuring that we deliver the highest quality dishes from produce sourced locally and sustainably.

Claire Good5 StarVisit Apron Strings most weeks for the fantastic selection of Meats, cheeses, crackers and chutneys along with the amazing knowledge and ideas Paul has. Today I took part in a Sourdough workshop which was fabulous, walked away with a starter, a dough to bake and a loaf along with the peace of mind knowing that when I can’t do it or it goes wrong I know Paul is there ask. So lucky to have this nearby and would definitely recommend anyone to pop in when your in the area 😁Sunday 4th September 2022

Joanne Wilkinson5 StarPhil and I went to the pop up restaurant evening on 02/07. The food was amazing and locally sourced. Paul, Jess and Ed were brilliant and explained what was in the dish and why - the team knew their stuff!! Would definitely recommend going to one of these events, but be warned you need to be quick.Tuesday 5th July 2022
Billy5 StarI enjoyed an evening with Paul (the Chef) and his sous chef. From the moment of walking in to goodbyes Paul had managed to meet and greet, entertain and WOW, and also cook a 7 course meal to a standard you would not find anywhere else in hull.
For something like this to be on your doorstep then you must try.

Fiona Jamieson5 StarFrom making a booking from Australia to the bespoke experience itself, Apron Strings were friendly, organised and an absolute pleasure to deal with. We visited as a party of three for my dad's 80th birthday, and didn't expect to have the whole place to ourselves! The workshop was a wonderful, private, fun and informative event and Paul put us at ease with his relaxed and friendly approach from the moment we walked in the door. His knowledge, humour and excellent planning meant our 4 hours flew by and we enjoyed a beautiful meal of aranchini, pasta, pesto and pomodoro sauce we'd made from scratch.
Can't recommend highly enough - from beginners to experienced cooks, I think anyone would get something out of a workshop here or just by purchasing something from the fabulous range of artisan goods on offer in the shop.
