A little bit about myself ... I have loved dancing for as long as I can remember - I did ballet classes as a small child and then when on Holiday in Bognor with my parents, grandparents and sister I saw ladies in big bustly dresses twirling around the dance floor doing old time and modern sequence dancing (like on the old "Come Dancing" programme). I wanted to dance like them, they were so graceful and they made it look so easy (it wasn't) that we decided that we would like to have a go and so we all went to the dance lessons every morning and to the dance in the evening - we learnt 4 dances in the week that we were there, and we loved it, and on returning home we continued dancing as a family for many years. After my dad passed away my mum saw an advert in the local paper for Line dancing Classes at a school hall near to where we lived - it was for beginners and it said that you didn't need a partner. She was really desperate to go but didn't want to go on her own so asked me if I would mind going with her for the first couple of weeks - she had not really danced since losing my dad. I can honestly say that I was not keen but went along to keep her happy.... well I was hooked! I started dancing in 1990 and taught my first dance in 2002 which was Evergreen by Karen Hunn to Will Young's song of the same name.
