Annie Design - Clothing Alterations and Sewing Services

Both alterations and repairs are straightforward. However, with my skill set and a fitting service (which is chargeable). I am able to tackle complicated jobs which other similar services might reject. This is because my knowledge of how a garment is constructed allows me to see through to the second dimension (a garment as flat cut pattern pieces ) from the third dimensional - the pieces sewn together and formed. My customers are sometimes more creative than I am. Bringing me old garments with creative ideas of how to make them wearable. For these services I charge by my time.I also do invisible mending, which is nearly always by hand, and again I can only give estimated prices.I really believe in upcycling our wardrobes where possible, especially as good quality fabrics with high thread counts are hard to find nowadays.

Sharon altered all of my student nurse uniforms ready for placement. Tunics and trousers all sizes too big and as well as taking them all down sizes, Sharon also tailored them to give them a more form fitting shape! Fast, efficient, professional and a lovely person! Fantastic work. Had two dresses altered. One a re-size from larger to smaller and one an adaptation to the hem (handkerchief to straight). Really pleased with both. Sharon did a wonderful job, and wouldn't hesitate to use her services again.
