Angela’s Swim School began in 2002 by Angela Wilson. Angela is an ex-international and Commonwealth swimmer who, at just 15 years old, was British champion for both 400 and 800 metres freestyle. Angela began teaching swimming lessons in between training for competitions, driven by her passion to give back to the community and to a sport that had given so much to her. She is passionate about teaching her students to swim in a confident and enjoyable manner, and is dedicated to ensuring they don’t just learn to swim, but to learn to swim with style! From her first swimming lesson, Angela Wilson has always loved the water. She took to competitive swimming and by the age of 11 was already Scottish National Champion. By 15, she was National Champion and held the honour of being selected for the Olympics. Angela has also competed at the European World and Commonwealth Games for Great Britain. For Angela, with her sheer talent and love of swimming, it was only natural that she would channel her passion for the sport into teaching swimming lessons. A passion that would create Angela’s Swim School! Our specially trained toddler teachers help your baby grow in confidence and build a life-long love of water. Swimming lessons are enjoyable and teaching techniques meet the needs and interests of the very young. Older learners use armbands and goggles to give them the best start to swimming on their own. Angela’s Swim School’s instructors have the experience and techniques to support children of all levels.
