I bought a brushed cotton wide-brimmed hat from the Cranbrook shop for my partner. It cost more than £40.00. She liked it it and wore a couple of times, but was caught in the rain, and the glue came away, white stains appeared, and the brim became totally deformed and undulating. My partner liked it initially and I lost the receipts. This was all in the space of less than a month. I am a local customer, so I thought I would take it back, but without expecting a refund, but it was obvious stock, so highlight the problem. Maybe I was hoping for a goodwill £5.00 voucher, maybe not. I was met by a young man, who said he was the manager. He told me it was suede de, and should never be worn outside in the rain… it was brushed cotton NOT suede, he patronised me, was rude, I was not even after a refund. I asked if I could leave it, and his response was "I don't want it. I have spent more than £100.00 in this shop. He was rude, nasty and ignorant, and as a local that is the message I will put out.

I shop in this store on a regular basis. The main staff Izzie and Fran are always helpful and friendly. They always have a great selection of cards, gift wrap and pressies!

This was always a great place to visit for that last minute gift and it became even better when the shop was extended. The card selection is great too. A great selection of quality gifts and helpful staff too.

Brilliant shop for a gift. Friendly service, a large selection of really quality cards, a bit more expensive, but worth it if you're looking for something special.
