Hi, I’m Alison McKenny, an Award winning Portrait Photographer based in Stoke By Clare, Suffolk which is also on the Cambridge and Essex borders. I specialise in producing beautiful portraits in many genres including Maternity, Newborn, Babies, Family, Horses, Fine Art, Beauty shoots, and Commercial / Personal Branding photoshoots for small to medium-sized businesses.
We are located on our family farm, so we have lots of stunning outdoor backdrops to choose from, right on our doorstep, all year round. I also have a warm and welcoming home studio with lots of natural light and studio lighting allowing me to cover all bases both inside and out.
I am also happy to travel to you on request and photograph you at a location of your choice anywhere in Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire, and Norfolk.

deena garner5 StarIf you are thinking of newborn shoots or even later on down the line when your new born becomes a toddler, Alison is the person you need to go to, to capture those moments.
Alison is professional and very talented. We felt at ease as soon as we met Alison with our new born baby. 2 years later my son and I went to see Alison again to capture more fabulous photos.

Beforehand Alison provided lots of information and guidance on what we should wear to help make the shoot work as well as possible. She was so calm, friendly, warm and professional throughout the shoot, everyone felt at ease and really enjoyed the morning. Alison captured everyone really well and did a brilliant job getting the best from all the children. Elizabeth Scott5 StarI recently did a beginners Photography course with Alison and she was fantastic! She takes the time to explain how your camera works and what to look for in terms of composition for your photos. There were 4 people on the course and she made sure each of us found the various settings on our different cameras and when we went outside to take pictures, she made sure to look at each of our photos to explain what we could change to make photo better. The whole course was very relaxed and you felt at ease with asking questions and we as a group were able to help each other. Lunch was also a great addition and it was really delicious!Monday 14th November 2022

I was slightly nervous, as you can imagine, being nearly 36 weeks pregnant, but straight away Alison put me at ease. I am so pleased I have these photos to look back on now. I have barely taken any of myself pregnant and I think it’s something I would have regretted.
